Today is Sunday, March 8, 2026
International Women’s Day.
It is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women while acting as a call to action for accelerating gender equality.
It is the 115th year that this day is consciously celebrated around the world to highlight and strengthen female solidarity, strength, and power.
And yet, another bloody and rapidly escalating war has been unleashed – by men.
And yet again, innocent civilians are dying, many of them women and children.

In the first days of “Operation Epic Fury,” – a massive US-Israeli aerial campaign against Iran – three precision guided missiles hit a primary school in Minab, southern Iran.
Between 165 and 175 people were killed, the vast majority of them girls aged 7 to 12. Approximately 95 others were wounded.

Till now, neither the US nor the Israeli military have officially taken responsibility for this outrageous war crime.
Investigations by major outlets including The New York Times and Reuters indicate the United States was likely responsible.
All those little girls had mothers.
Who did all the killing? If I had to guess, I would say it has been mostly men who pulled the trigger and males who gave the orders. Male human beings with precision weapons of unimaginable destruction went to war again to kill other human people, children, women, and men alike.
And also those men had mothers who had to bear the grief of loss.

It is not my intention to point fingers – I am a male as well – although it is very hard for me not to experience rage and shame about my gender. It is very hard to keep looking and witnessing and to allow the tears.
Here it is my intention to raise awareness of what is happening, to make an appeal to the collective conscience that I hope we still share as human beings.
To not allow us to forget or put our heads in the sand.

In the dopamine rush of constant News cycles and the fog of this new dangerous and undeclared war, it is easy to forget the Palestinian tragedy still playing out in Gaza, the genocide that the Israel state is still waging on a people who are trapped inside a small slice of land.
Although the massive bombing has stopped for the most part, the humanitarian situation of more than 2 million people is desperate.
Since October 2023, 70,117 people in Gaza had been killed. The vast majority of the victims were civilians, and around 50% were women and children.
Gaza has the most child amputees per capita in the world. The Gaza war caused more than 21,000 children to be disabled.
Not counted are the deaths cause by famine, nor all the bodies still buried in the rubble.

I am not a hardened reporter and so it is very hard on my stomach to put all that out there on the web.
But i refuse to let it all go down the drain of things past!
I want to remember, i want to bear witness, i want to feel the grief of mothers.
I wish to honor the stolen innocence of the little ones.

That are only a very few of the Palestinian children that do not play anymore
