This Creative Universe
… and my creative world
From the Macrocosmos of the Universe to the microcosmos of the mineral kingdom, flowers, plants and the animal kingdom, there is an endless creative impulse at work in the background.
Invisible to us, God shapes the World with Beauty. Some say.

WAU! WAU! That is sooooooo awesome!
I guess i’ll have to seriously expand my consciousness if i want to grock all of that … awesomeness ; )
If I look at Nature, the obvious is very obvious. May it be evolution, may it be morphogenetic fields, may it be Gods vision or whatever is shaping the forms that we can see out there, there is Beauty, there is endless variety in Creation.
And then here is us – the Human Species – somehow made from the same elements as all the rest, shaped by the same evolutionary forces and laws, yet somehow different.
What is this difference, what sets us apart?

As Human Beings we have the gift of self-reflection.
As Human Beings we have the gift of imagination.
As Human Beings we have the gift of inspiration.
And we have the ability to be creators.

Creativity
Creativity is the ability to form novel and valuable ideas or works using one’s imagination. Products of creativity may be intangible – an idea, scientific theory, literary work, musical composition, or joke – or a physical object – an invention, dish or meal, piece of jewelry, costume, a painting.
Creativity may also describe the ability to find new solutions to problems, or new methods to accomplish a goal. Therefore, creativity enables people to solve all kinds of challenges in new ways.
I would say that creativity is often associated with the arts, but it is actually a vital form of intelligence that drives people in many domains of life to discover something new and original.
When approached from a psychological perspective, creativity is often connected to a person’s ability to engage in divergent thinking – this means “thinking outside the box.”
This kind of cognitive process allows an individual to arrive at unique, multiple solutions to a given problem.
Highly creative folks often seem to be “all over the place”.
Take this guy for example:

“Creativity is intelligence having fun”
“Imagination is more important than knowledge”
“The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination”
“Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere”
As far as i know, Einstein’s perspective was that imagination, curiosity, and a playful approach are crucial for significant advancements, creativity building upon the necessary foundation of knowledge.
In my life, creativity is the way my mind works with all and any elements of my environment, my knowledge and my imagination. And it can touch and illuminate my smallest and most mundane actions as well as great leaps of imagination in thinking and art-making.
But now, enough of the words, let’s show some playful pieces of digital art-making that I have created over the years in different mediums.
Dont ask me what this is and what it is good for, 😉 i may not have a good answer to that.
This is how it works for me with the creative process: I may get an idea or inspiration and i just start somewhere with no real plan and final goal in mind. For me this is often a feeling or intuition kind of thing.
But soon I find the groove of the process and get into a state of flow. Time disappears, i am completely focussed and relaxed. One idea leads to the next and all of a sudden I have finished piece of work.
Or maybe not. But that does not really matter. Many of my pieces never saw the light of day. They are meditation in action, creative energy in flow. That is enough.
This Creative Flow is the closest thing to deep meditation that i know.
Most of the art i am making in this way with code might be called Abstract Art or even Art from Mathematics & Algorithms. I use Randomness and Chaos Theory to make the lines come alive. But nothing is just really random or by chance.
Beyond the forms there is always an idea, a feeling, a inner imagination.

In other mediums my creative impulse shows up with a rather specific focus. In Photography, my camera is very specific.

Let’s take time to look into each other’s eyes more often

Sound design and experimental music-making has always beed dear to my heart. Here are a few of the more playful pieces from
my collection of “joyful sound-makers.”
Write your name, type a little poem or whatever …
Turn up the volume and see what happens.
With your mouse or on the trackpad you can make some crazy sparkly sounds.
[ i have not optimised this for phone screens … sorry]
Touch, click click or drag in the square. Or you can play with your keyboard by typing a > l & w > p
You may sound like a real pianist!
CONGRATS! You made it till down here!
Thanks for your interest! Here is a little (interactive) musical treat for you.
